A bit about us…..

Emily grew up helping out at a local florist shop run by a family friend. She fell early and hard for the hectic pace, gorgeous colours and fun of arranging flowers and displays. After-school visits led to hands-on stints over weekends and school holidays, and eventually to work experience at another local business. The owner recognised Emily’s flair, initiative and enthusiasm and offered the teenager full-time work on the spot.

Ever-practical, Emily dived her time between part-time work and finishing secondary school first – whilst blitzing it at floristry trade school in the process. She completed three years’ study in just 18 months and scooped a prestigious award for Best Second Year Apprentice (across all fields) in 2014.

Emily began full-time floristry the day after graduation, and within six months was managing first one, then both of her cherished mentor’s busy shops day-to-day. Taking the reins at Red Earth Flowers from the ever-supportive Kelly – who’s an ongoing source of advice and continuity – is a dream come true.

Emily shares Kelly’s passion for weddings, local makers and hands-on involvement in everything from consultations to venue styling. She’s super excited to be taking Red Earth Flowers into its next phase with her talented team and flair for all things flowers.
