The Red Earth Flowers Story…..

They say that if you truly love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. I feel so lucky to be able to surround myself with beautiful, fresh flowers every day, and to be able to share this with my amazing team of passionate florists who work with me.

My venture into floristry began when I was just 15, working at a local florist as my first after school job. I fell early and hard for the hectic pace, gorgeous colours and fun of arranging flowers and displays. Even back then I knew I wanted to one day run my own florist shop. I dived my time between part-time work and finishing secondary school – whilst also completing floristry trade school in the process.

The day after graduation I then began full-time floristry, and within six months was managing first one, then both of her cherished mentor’s busy shops day-to-day. Fast forward 4 years after gaining a tremendous amount of invaluable experience, I then took the reins at Red Earth Flowers from the ever-supportive Kelly – who’s an ongoing source of advice and continuity – is a dream come true.

I now have an amazing team at Red Earth Flowers that not only make stunning wedding bouquets each week, but also many gorgeous unique arrangements every day!  Our florist shop is constantly full of lovely, fresh plants and flowers, as well as gift and home wares – most of which are locally made by other small businesses in the Yarra Valley.

My true passion lies in designing and arranging wedding flowers for our beautiful brides. It is an honour for us to create and supply such a beautiful element of a wedding, helping to compliment the style of their happiest day. We love to see photos of our beaming brides, with love in their eyes, beautiful flowers in their hands and their wedding venues magically styled.
